General Description

An opportunity has arisen for an additional permanent part time telephone customer service advisor in our new office on Broad Lane, Coventry. Your role will be to answer queries about our extensive range of 1,000s of products and manage orders by liaising with our suppliers and customers. You will be providing excellent customer service via email, phone and web chat unaided by scripts, with a methodical work approach and friendly professional manner essential.

The Role

  • Offering customer support via telephone & email
  • Providing product advice via telephone & email
  • Continually learning new products alongside 1000’s of current products
  • Communicating with our suppliers to resolve queries & issues
  • Balancing & managing multiple outstanding tasks simultaneously

The skills (essential)

  • Professional, clear and polite oral & written communication
  • You should be able to provide customer service without aid of scripts
  • Organisational skills to prioritise workflow depending on the daily circumstances
  • Ability to build in-depth knowledge and thrive on learning our many products through training
  • Have a proactive attitude towards work and improving your skills
  • A common sense approach to problem solving
  • Manage pressured situations whilst maintaining your quality of work
  • Demonstrate high literacy & numeracy skills throughout
  • Put the customer at the centre of the job and always provide excellent customer service

The ideal candidate will (preferable)

  • Have 2 years proven previous customer service experience
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the UK Retail Laws, including the distance selling regulations and consumer rights
  • Demonstrate touch typist skills to 60 words per minute
  • Provide examples of experience of being highly organised
  • Have an understanding of the Data Protection Act
  • Have a keen interest in interior design

Fresh Ideas have a large retail showroom in Styvechale and an office on Broad Lane managing their eCommerce website.
